One of the originals…
There is nothing like sleeping in the guest bedroom at your grandmother’s house. Both peaceful, far removed from your own life, and eerie. This photograph is circa 1991.
Then suddenly…giant dragonflies everywhere.
I came home during the last hour of sun gracing the nearby field. The dragonflies refused to land, even once, perhaps thinking the sun was dying and this was their last dance. I did not see them again the next day.
Salutations are in order.

dedicated to my late companion, Benny, who carried my original site name for many years. Miss you buddy.
When I first started my site, back in 1998, it was a simple landing page that was no more than a business card. Over the years, I accumulated blogs like bobbleheads. Livejournal, Blogspot, now tumblr, facebook, Google+…there is no end to it. During that time, I left my career of ten years and moved into print journalism. I had a few shows at some local galleries. I became a Photo Editor. I lost everything I knew as a life. I travelled, but could never afford to get off North America. I find myself at a very peculiar place in my life.
And so! [claps hands together] I’m going to share the very best and worst of it here. This site serves as a calling card, yes. It’s also a hub link to my interests, social network, professional life, and of course my artwork. If I had to give up everything again in exchange for being allowed to be a photographer for a living — I would do it.
